| Found a Balloon? During the morning service this Sunday 12th June - the Feast of Pentecost - we fill the church with balloons to celebrate the birthday of the Church and the gift of the Holy Spirit. After the service the balloons are released outside carrying messages and prayers for peace and hope. If you have found one of our balloons please use the form below to tell us where you found it. place of balloon = millhouse green comments = We found the balloon whilst out walking in the hills above our village, Millhouse Green! We are very happy to be able to tell you. It travelled a long way in the day! 2009
place of balloon = Atherton M46 date = 08.06.2009 place of balloon = Lloyds TSB car park, Standish, Wigan comments = Thought you might like to know that one of your balloons released on 31st May 2009 was found at the above address. A distance of about 25 miles or so I would have thought. date = 4th june 2009 place of balloon = moorland near The Fingerpost at Aspull, Wigan 2008 we released 80 balloons on Sunday 11th May after the Parish Eucharist (about 12noon). balloons have travelled as far as Worsley Golf Course, near Swinton - about 8 miles north west... 2006 the balloons released on Pentecost Sunday 4th June 2006 travelled a long way:
Just to let you know, that one of your tickets from your balloons was found at Christchurch, near March in Cambridgeshire. 9th June... this tag was recovered in Lackford Suffolk at 12.10 pm 9-6-2006 |
