400th Anniversary of the King James Version
400 years of the King James Bible...

This year celebrates the 400th Anniversary of the translation
and publication of the King James Version (KJV) of the Bible.

The King James Bible is a remarkable work of faith and
historical piece of literature that has shaped our language,
history and culture.

A path of light...

Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

For our celebrations we collected favourite verses of
Scripture from each member of the congregation and printed
these verses on to candles. The candles were used to create
a path of light for our celebration service on Bible Sunday,
23rd October 2011. The preacher at our Eucharist was the
Rt Revd Rupert Hoare.
