Created as a result of a discussion at
September 2005's PCC meeting  the care
and nurture group meets to think about the
Pastoral Care, Prayer & Nurture in the
Parish.

The PCC discussion (which is summarised
in the Remit document - see right) was
wide ranging. The group is looking at each
of the issues raised and sending suggestions
to the PCC. The PCC were clear that these
are not just interesting topics for discussion
but vitally important to our ministry as a
Christian family and community in the
Parish.

So far the group has achieved much
including:

  • renewing the way our parish
    intercession list is updated
  • parish prayer time
  • children's toy bags
  • new parish baptism policy
  • leafleting the parish at festivals
  • bereavement care
  • prayer trees
  • welcome and hospitality
