Harvest 2006 at St Agnes Longsight
Why water?
During 2006 our Mission & Action group
started some small campaigns for better
water supplies in Europe and the third
world. Following from this came stories
from our own congregation about water
and the PCC agreed that these should
form the background of our Parish
Harvest celebrations.
What's the problem?

the facts about water problem in our
world today ...more
What we did...
we collected stories about water - about
water for cleansing, water to sustain, or
water to refresh. These stories were used
at the harvest service - see the link on the
right.
We also held a collection of...

- food to distribute to those who
call at the Rectory - and money as a donation to
WaterAid - knit a river campaign - knitting blue
squares as a petition organised by
Water Aid - details on their
website.
