Child Protection Issues
All groups working with children using the Community Hall are required to have
a Child Protection Policy (CPP) in place.

The
Management Committee require written confirmation from these groups
that it has a CPP and that it uses the Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) Disclosure
Service.

Creating a Child Protection Policy

The Charity Commission website contains excellent information on Child
Protection including how to go about creating, implementing and maintaining a
Policy. Full details can be found on their
website.

Criminal Records Bureau Disclosure Service

The Criminal Records Bureau (CRB), an Executive Agency of the Home Office,
provides wider access to criminal record information through its Disclosure
service.  This service enables organisations in the public, private and voluntary
sectors to make safer recruitment decisions by identifying candidates who may
be unsuitable for certain work, especially that involve children or vulnerable
adults.  The CRB was established under Part V of the Police Act 1997 and was
launched in March 2002.
More details on their
website.
