Increasingly more and more people are contacting us to find out about relatives who
have had a connection with the Parish at some time in the past by asking about Parish
Registers and Records. The following information may be of some initial help:

The present parish is an amalgamation of three previous parishes

  • St Agnes Birch-in-Rusholme
  • St John Longsight
  • St Cyprian Kirkmanshulme

Most other information is still held here at St Agnes Parish Church and anyone
interested in searching the registers should first contact the Parish Priest or use the

Please note: There are no burial grounds at either St Agnes' or St Cyprian's
churches and the churchyard at St John's closed many years ago. The building is
currently an Islamic Education Centre and is no longer owned by either the Diocese
of Manchester or the Parish.
